Mia went to João Gilberto's show at Carnigie Hall

Me and Eran at NYU resident's graduation party / Me in front of Carnigie Hall before concert / João Gilberto performing

This weekend was busy. Lots of dancing at the party on friday and concert on sunday! I was really hoping that Mia would wait until after this concert to be delivered. I truly wanted her to hear the father of Bossa Nova performing live! She moved and had minor contractions during the entire show while me and Eran caressed her! It was magical! She is 39 weeks now and still needs to drop down...

38.5 Weeks Pregnant...I Feel Like...

I'm so bloated and puffy, I feel like a Botero painting / I'm so tired, I feel like I turned into a pillow...

This past week I felt so many different things, so many body changes...The weather was REALLY hot, and all of a sudden I got very bloated. My feet was incredibly puffy, just like a Botero painting. Also I was unbelievably tired, only wanted to be in bed all day. I felt like I was becoming a pillow...Than the weather got better and I wasn't so bloated anymore...I thought things were getting better when I pulled a muscle in my lower back! OHHH! It's been almost 3 days that I have to be in bed rest...But I managed to go to my weekly doctors appointment: The baby is still really high up...It seems like she is very comfortable and doesn't want to come out so soon...even though her due date is June 28th!

More Body Painting | Inspired Mama

Body Stamp Series: Black paint on paper / Gold paint on paper

I did the body painting (or body stamp) one more time and I guess this was the last opportunity to do this artwork before the end of my pregnancy. It was an amazing weekend at Suely's home in Long Island, Ronkonkma, just doing art and getting dirty! I loved it!

My Birthday | Prenatal Massage & Movie | A Girly Day!

Me, Cris, Mari Castro, Mari Dutra, Samanta, Sabrina and Teresa

The Girls planned to watch Sex and the City! After million e-mails trying to coordinate the best time and location for all of us, we decided to go on tuesday. A few days later I realized: Oh, tuesday is June 3rd! It's my birthday! So since I'm expecting a little girl I thought it was a great way to celebrate my birthday! Good excuse, right? So I had an amazing day: Eran gave me a Prenatal Massage in a very cool spa as a gift, than I had lunch with my friend Hosanna in a macrobiotic restaurant and went for a pedicure and manicure! After that I went shopping for the last baby stuff we need in Baby's are Us and Eran met me there! We hang out for a little while and than I finally met the girls in the movie line, and there were almost ONLY woman on line, really funny! We all enjoyed, laughed, screamed and cried in the movie! And Mia moved nonstop, I think she was having a good time, too! Than we went for drinks and appetizers at Pipa, a totally cool and girly looking restaurant!

Best Exercises

Swimming and Pre-Natal Yoga

I think swimming and pre-natal yoga are the best exercises during pregnancy, it's really working for me! I only started doing it around the 7th month in my pregnancy. And once I started, everything changed! I have less pain in my legs and in my body over all, keeps the circulation working and It's really relaxing! Swimming is wonderful because is the only time I'm light, it's so nice to float! And the yoga helps stretching all the tight muscles! Also, it's great to be around other future moms, to share information, tips and emotions. And makes me feel much more secure about the whole process!

Two Days After a Mini Nervous Breakdown

35 Weeks Pregnant, Waterfront Park, Williamsburg, NY

I had my first anxiety attack on Saturday, May 24th. After speaking for 2.5 hous on the phone while laying down in bed, very relaxed, I felt something in my belly. I couldn't move, I felt a lot of pressure. It was extremely uncomfortable and sort of painful. I called Eran desperately, he was at home and came right away to check what was going on. I described what I was feeling. He asked if I was feeling contractions. The word CONTRACTION made me laugh nervously. I had a cold and my nose was very stuffed, I could not breath well. Than I started crying and think: What if the baby is born NOW? OMG! The baby's room is not ready, we don't have a baby's bed yet, we don't have a car seat and what's gonna be the baby's astrological sign? I don't know how to do anything, I'm not ready yet!!! ohhhhhhhhhhh! Crying and not being able to breath well, just panicking for almost one hour! Finally I calmed down...and the next day we started to organize and get really ready for the baby's arrival....wow! What a wake up call!
