One Month in Israel

Mia In Israel

Mia is definitely international. At the age of 4 months to be completed on October 26th she has commuted by all kinds of transportations: car, taxi, subway, stroller, bus, train, ferry and airplane! She has already gone abroad and oh, boy, she has seen, done and experienced a lot during this full month in Israel: This little baby went to Jerusalem, strolled all over Tel Aviv and Jaffo, enjoyed many nice days on the beach, watched her mommy swim in the pool, and finally met all her grandparents from Israel: Saba Hezi and Safta Nira (who missed her so much!), and from Brazil: Vovô Ricardo and Vovó Ana, she also met her brazilian uncle Tio Bruno and her entire Israeli family! She went to her parent's wedding and met all daddy's friends (and their babies)! During this month she grew and developed so much, it's incredible! Mia had a lot of people taking care of her, specially Saba Hezi and Safta Nira, who watched her while her parents partied at night and are completely in love with this infant. Dod Ori also showed an incredible talent for taming little sleepless creatures. Mia now can play on her tummy for a really long time and even rolls!! She laughs while doing cute noises and learned to sleep by herself while suckling the pacifier! This tiny girl got a lot of complements from the flight attendants during the massive 11 hour flight from NYC to Tel Aviv. She behaved so well, did not cry at all! She is a very happy baby, really curious and attentive, at the same time so mellow, calm and cheerful...We love her sooo much, it's just unbelievable...What a great feeling to be Mia's mom & dad...ima & aba (in hebrew)...mãe & pai (in portuguese)

A WONDERFUL WEDDING

Mia participated and had fun in her parent's wedding party! She was very sociable with the guests and had a babysitter for the first time in her entire life! She was very easy, had a bottle of pumped breast milk and did not give a hard time to her nanny! She just let her parents party and celebrate their love with their friends and family! What a great girl! Thank you little Mia :) You are amazing! We were also so happy that my family could come all the way from Brazil to meet Mia and to be on our wedding! And so grateful for the marvelous Nira and Hezi, who organized the entire party! It was absolutely beautiful! Everything was truly special! Thank you so much!

Mia Goes on her First Trip Ever!

Mia goes to Fire Island!

Mia had a wonderful weekend in Fire Island! Thanks to Mari we got there safe on friday afternoon and returned on monday! :) It was the first time Mia went to the beach! She was very calm and happy during the entire weekend, didn't cry and was enjoying a lot the peace and quiet, the sounds of nature and our friends...And she had some serious baby talk with Samantha, looking deep inside her eyes for a few minutes! It was amazing! She missed her dad, though...he didn't come with us, he had to go to work...and couldn't get enough of her when we came back home! This little girl is getting so much love :)

Mia is 2 Months Old!

Mia paying serious attention.

Mia is 2 months old now and she is growing really fast. She had her check up in the pediatrician, the immunization shots and she's ready for new adventures in this big world! So we started Mommy & Baby Yoga and she loves it! Also she had her first babysitter - Our dear friend Hosanna took care of Mia for a couple of hours while I was swimming (great post-partum exercise!). Oh, and this time she had almost a whole bottle of my pumped breast milk! :) That was only her second time trying it! And It was the first time that she missed her dad, who was on a work trip for 6 days...He is back now and they are having a lovely time together again!

Mia Inspires Mama...

Sleeping Mia. Portrait by her Mommy

I'm so inspired by my beloved Mia that I did her first portrait and also a poem...In portuguese and also translated to english, and there u go!

MINHA MIA (portuguese version)

Mia, minha Mia. Já te conheço. Você nasceu do meu ventre. Você mamou e mama em meu peito. Mia, você entrou e saiu de dentro de mim. Mia, você é a expressão mais sincera do meu amor existencial. Mia, te cuido todos os dias, todas as noites, incessavelmente, incansavelmente, ininterruptamente, incondicionalmente...

.....................................................................................................

MY MIA (english version)

Mia, my Mia. I know you already. You were born from my venter.
You were and still are feeding from my breast. Mia, you've got in and you've got out of my body. Mia, you leave outside and inside me. Mia, you are the most sincere expression of my existential love. Mia, I care for you everyday, every night, uninterruptedly, relentlessly, incessantly, unconditionally....and I love every moment...I flirt with you, I venerate you, I worship you, I want you every little second. I love you, I love you, I love you...My mind loves you, my body loves you, my heart loves you, my breast loves you...My breast loves you and needs you, Mia. When my breast misses your lips, it swells and it hurts...and only when you finally wake up and your lips touch and you drink the milk from the breast, than the breast rests...My breast needs you, Mia...and Mia needs my breast...The two breasts are jealous. When one has Mia, the other one cries...and white tears drop in my body. The breast is asking, the breast is begging, the breast is imploring for Mia. The breast cries out for Mia, the breast misses her, the breast loves her, the breast hurts, the breast is jealous....and the breast only stops crying when Mia kisses him. Only when she nurses the breast stops crying. And Mia stops crying...Mia is the breast's friend and the breast is Mia's friend. Oh, Mia...So tiny and already makes someone cry for her love...
